My artistic practice
starts from my fascination for concepts like ‘presence’ and ‘fulness’. Immersing myself in experience is a constant task for me, which translates into the practice of art, philosophy and aikido.

I search for aesthetic strategies to deal with the impossibility of showing an open experience since every showing is a showing of something. Bringing together dichotomies, lifting dualities and distilling the difference between modalities are my main strategies. To make an entering of an open experience possible, I search for moments in which a failure of the strategy takes place. After all, if the desired openness has been fulfilled, every possibility to communicate about it has evaporated. As a result of this, distances, differences, errors, flaws, transmissions and translations have become my artistic parameters. By means of artistic interventions I show the elusive, what is absent in our observation, by the detour of imagination.

Linda Lenssen exhibited and presented work in several group shows amongst others
